I felt like Writing

Hiya Lovelies :)

I'm in the mood to write, not for any particular reason really just felt like it. I did my usual routine of getting onto my computer, checking plurk & emails, reading blogs and going through SL notices. (I accidentally left myself logged in all night oops)

I recently had a long convo with my SL bestie about the old days, how things have changed both in good & bad ways and overall our experiences in the 4 years we've been on SL. It was nice to reminisce. One topic that was interesting was how many people we know who were anti-family in SL (adopting kid/teen avs, pregnancy/prim babies, family RP in general) and how they're so immersed in that lifestyle now. I feel like now people don't need to be as secretive about adopting or having prim babies as most people are not bothered by it anymore. Granted this doesn't mean everyone likes or accepts it but a l0t more do which makes it easier for those deciding to want that as part of their SLife.

There's also a ton more options now a days to aid in the role playing experience and its all about personal choice/preference in the level/amount of role play you want in your SLife. I've been debating on doing a series of blog posts on info regarding adopting kid/teen Avs including adoption locations in world. I'd also write some in regards to virtual pregnancy, the latest resources available to aid in making your experience exactly as you want it and lists of various clinics around the grid. Should I?

Now onto some things I'm thinking about & planning for the next few months. First off I'd like to finally get my inventory back to how it was before which is perfectly organized lol I used to keep it so well maintained and lately with being so busy its a mess! I'm pretty sure I've decided which of the two fave kitchens I like, I'm going to get but I still have to save quite a bit unless I get one piece at a time lol (not naming the store as with my luck it'd get sent to me & that's not what I'm after)...I also want to start blogging again & even do an everyday type blog of interesting things I've done and interesting places I visit. I'm also thinking of getting a custom house made. I have tons of houses & I use them all but I always feel bad for having to majorly modify them due to my prim count. For now though Ive got some cute ones to last me. I'm also now able to spoil myself a little here & there providing budget allows it. I'm blaming my friend Rylan for the fact that I'm going to have a zooby baby this year lol...Oh and I need all the creators to stop making things so hard to decide on lol I'm not rich but I love all the pretties!! I also need some help tinting some feet/shoes with feet. I changed to Aura briar cream tone skin & want to buy slink feet & Maitreya flip flops. So if you're good at it IM or Plurk me please :)

Over all I'm quite happy in my SLife and love my close friends. We so need to get together more often. Summer parties!! Anyways enough of my crazy ramblings, hope you're all having a fabulous day!

It makes you Think

Hi Peeps!

Its such a beautiful day. I love the warm sunny weather. My RL birthday is next month so as I was ticking things off of my to do list, I started thinking of stuff I'm looking forward to and things I might want to do. In RL I have lots planned including writing more, going to the beach, and having lots of social gatherings.

In SL, I'm going to finish my new look/makeover, take more pictures & not worry if they meet other people's standards because they're memories not pics for a magazine lol. I will socialize more in person rather than just IMs or on Plurk, maybe go to more events, explore and get my blog going. I also miss working in world, not just for the money but for the fun & creativity. I think I might start a little store (furniture,props,decor etc) but it won't be for awhile because I need to save for things like AvSitter, sculpt maps/kits, textures and animations because my medical stuff doesn't allow enough time to learn to sculpt & use PS etc...nor does it allow me to apply to jobs in world due to scheduling, but once I get some stuff, my creative side (I used to do arts & crafts in RL) will get me building stuff for a little store.

Happy New Year!

I'm slightly late on this post as I intended to do it no later than the 1st but oh well life gets busy. I had a great weekend overall. I went to a NYE Eve Party on the 30th in world which was hosted by my good friend Alicia. In RL I spent NYE celebrating with a few friends and family. I had tons of fun at both gatherings in both worlds. Here's a cute little Pic I took tonight, before I talk about my hopes/resolutions for this year.



I won't bore you with details about this past year. 2011 had its ups and downs in both worlds but for the most part all went well for me. I do wish though, that there hadn't been so much family drama because I tend to be the peace keeper & it gets exhausting lol What I'd like this year is for happiness, health and fun for all including myself. In my virtual world I want to take pics more, blog casually, go to or even host parties, and write about fun adventures I hope to have. Now I shall go relax.

How's it going? I bet you & the elves are rushing to prepare last minute holiday stuff. As I'm sure you can see, I've been a really good girl this year in both worlds and should be on the nice list accordingly. In my real world I dealt with a lot. Both good stuff & bad/chaotic stuff. In my virtual world I have had some pretty good times with friends & family. I got to make new friends, helped those who were going through rough times, shopped a bit, had some friends get married, some had babies and overall its been great.

Beautiful Wedding

Hi Lovelies!

I wanted to write this the actual night of the wedding but things came up and here I am almost 4 days later but hey better late than never!

On Sunday September 18, 2011 my close friends Alicia & Aldwyn got married. In almost 4 years of being in this virtual world seeing everything from happiness to chaos I have never been teary eyed until I saw them at the altar and read their vows to each other. It was the most beautiful wedding I have ever been to. I'd rewind to that day over and over no joke lol I truly wish them nothing but happiness together! Thanks for letting me be a part of your special day. I truly enjoyed it. <3

Here are just a few pics I was able to take at the wedding. I took over 30 but sadly none of them are of the guests or the couple aside from one due to circumstances I couldn't control. The couple look amazing as well as my other close friend Ulaa who was the maid of honor. She also made all the builds, props, and some of the furniture/decor for the ceremony and reception. A bit of History

Today is sort of a special day.

Three years ago and a half years ago I joined SL. I stayed a short while before having to take a break due to surgery and other commitments in the real world. I returned at the end of July and have been back ever since with only small breaks due to holidays, events etc...

Fast forward to today and so much has happened. I have worked, explored, made friends, owned land and much more in my SLife so far. I even got into family rp (not heavily though). It's just me, my bestie and her sl daughter. They live together, where as I live on my own land surrounded by great neighbors/friends. I have never adopted, just been an aunt a few times. But I will admit, I have had prim babies. Which brings me to the history/story for today...

I made a decision to have a prim baby on my own. I cannot remember now what brought the idea on or why I did it but I did. I saved the money from camping at this place that gave great camping deals for free money. At the time my options were slim so I purchased what I thought was a good baby, tummy talker/interactive hud, and pregnancy AO. My bestie made my birth certificate, hosted my baby shower etc...I didn't have a delivery package or anything, but I found at the last minute a midwife clinic that did last minute deliveries so on September 5th 2008 I had a baby. The doctor/midwife (she role played both) was very sweet.

Since then I had 2 other pregnancies. Only one didn't include a delivery process aside from myself being at my SL home at the time. I learned many things since that first pregnancy. Tummy talkers are annoying so if you want one don't use it in public. You should do your research before buying (there are greater options these days) and don't let people ruin your happiness. Most clinics don't do long pregnancies so if you'd like to choose months instead of weeks, discuss it with them first to see if they'll accommodate you.

I cannot have kids in real life due to my illness (not that I would at my age), so that's one of the reasons I did it. It's nice to sort of feel what it's like mind you this is way more fantasy like lol. If I ever did it again, I'd choose either a tatu baby (more realistic due to it having real needs, getting sick etc rather than most prim babies that are more 'doll like') or a zooby baby (lots of interactions, clothing, accessories, furniture etc). Both are not my fave in terms of appearance (the ones I have are my fave looks wise) but the interactive options on them are much better.

Anyways Happy Birthday to my baby Mandy who is now 3 years old technically.

The Picnic

Hiya Peeps!

Friday was supposed to be picnic day. But instead it turned into intermittent rain day. We had sandwiches made, salad, some fruit, big bottle of water, plastic cups and napkins all set! I was a bit sad because I was sort of looking forward to it. Luckily none of that goes bad and its easy to make if someone decides to eat what was already prepared. So we will probably do the picnic today or Sunday depending on weather, time etc

In SL I have 2 picnic type sets with blanket and props so I think sometime later today I shall set one out and take some pictures! Each one has cute poses/animations so I think it'll be fun to play and pose for pics :)

Right now I'm awake because my body decided to wake me up. I'm in pain too which sucks. I'm also having idea overload for when I re-open my shop. I have the blog ideas, the welcome/opening ideas as well as ideas for releases. I'm also going to be in a summer themed hunt so I need to figure out what to make. I gotta release what little I have so that the store doesn't look empty during the hunt but also to get some money to buy the things that I need for making the opening releases which costs about 2k give or take. Anyways I'm going to try to relax and hopefully fall asleep.

Days of Summer

Hi Peeps!

Like many of my SL/Plurk friends, where I live has been ridiculously hot. We even beat our 2006 record of the hottest day of the year! (I don't remember the temp lol) So most of the time is spent in the doors where theres nice cool air from the A/C and then usually in the evenings at least 3 times a week we walk down to the beach for a stroll on the boardwalk. In world of course we don't feel the temperatures on the sims lol so it can rain, snow, be sunny, hot or cold & our Av's don't care lol

In RL I have had a bunch of things going on. From BBQ's to family gatherings that last until like midnight! It's fun though and I arrange the get togethers because some family members are going through rough times, so I figure let's all chill, dance, chat and have fun! Today we had a get together but unfortunately, when we decided to go to the festival down the road, it decides it's going to pour!! Everyone said oh it will pass & then we can go. Let's just say oh it stopped but then came back with a vengeance. Some of us took the bus home, especially for me so I'd not get sick. The bus situation was a pain unfortunately people can be rude & act like they cant see me in the wheelchair! Oh well at least most of the day was a blast :)

In SL I have gone exploring, shopped a tiny tiny bit at sale type events and still trying to figure out how I want my land since my original idea/plan involves things I don't have. I also finished the seasons hunt and got a few things from the Poupee hunt which I'll finish up in the next few days. My new house has space for a kitchen, the one I have is quite primmy (long story of regret why I have it) and I'm a bit picky about kitchens. Hopefully I will have the one I want once I can save some money. I'm also going to re-open a shop but for transaction purposes am thinking of using an alt. Also it will take forever for me to make all the releases I wanted for opening so I shall just start with what I have!

SL Camping Trip

Hello Lovelies,

It's been awhile since I last wrote an entry on this blog, but now that's going to change since I will be doing lots of fun things in both lives that I can report here for you to read.

On June 14th I got a notice in the group for my bestie's land. It read: Attention! and then the instructions were to pack up and bring some bug spray. That night, though technically it was now the 15th as it was after midnight we were teleported to the camping ground. My bestie had rezzed a skydome that made ya feel like you were outdoors, and it was decorated with tents, grass, trees, rocks, logs with pillows for sitting around the fire, there were smores, marshmallows to roast, hotdogs, hot cocoa, beer and soda. Options for everyone! We had such a blast telling stories, playing games, chatting etc ... The next day we had the kiddos do a scavenger hunt, what they thought were just decor rocks, were actually cleverly placed hunt prizes! That night after the hunt we ate some more, chatted, and read stories again. It has been such a blast being on this camping trip considering I hate camping in RL lol Tonight was our last night, we took some awesome pictures for memories, (I will post one here when my bestie puts them on flickr) and then cleaned up so we could go home. Now I'm sitting here waiting for my bestie to come back from being afk so we can finish decorating her land for SL summer!

Weekend of Fun!

Hello My Peeps!

Its been awhile since I wrote here. How are things with you? Hopefully good! This weekend for me was pretty fun. I played board games on Friday & Today (Sunday, altough its technically Monday since it's past midnight). My cousin won on Friday and then I won today's game. The only crappy part really was the snowstorm which caused me major pains as thats just how I get during crappy weather, but at least playing the game kept me a bit distracted!

I also loved a bunch of things that were released for the weekend type events/deals, and for Spruce up your Space in SL. I spent Saturday late night (went into Sunday) listening and laughing while my bestie was drunk on voice lol She was beyond hilarious thats for sure.

Then today (Sunday), my aunt, uncle and two cousins came over for the day to hang out. We talked, ate dinner, laughed our asses off because we're all a bunch of jokesters lol it was so much fun. I laughed soo much at times I couldn't breathe for a second lol My cousin also demonstrated some funny stuff that happened on the weekend at his tae kwon do tournament. What a blast!

Now I sit here in world, looking at my sleeping kitty and trying to decide on what to pick up before the good deals of the weekend are up. I'm also deciding on a house. There were a few from different stores released this weekend but I'm in love with others. Better yet I'll stick with my cute one called Hope from *Funky Junk*.

Spring Is In the Air

Hiya Lovelies!

I sorta needed to just come and write stuff, because some major family dramas occured today that have left my stress level to an extremely high number.

In the real world it is still very cold and snowy because for many of us it is the awful season of winter lol can you tell its my fave season? *rolls eyes*... In SL however, the island where I live has turned into Spring. We have pretty green grass and some of my neighbors have already begun to redecorate. I haven't quite fully decided on my plan for my decor but I'm sure it'll be cute. I do however have my summer decorating ideas ready for when the time comes so that will be easier.

I may or may not get a new house/prefab for spring. My hope one is quite cute and will do the trick, it's from Funky Junk (great store). I'm also loving the latest house released there, but it won't work prim wise. I also have some giftcards for a few furniture stores so once I get those redeemed I will have pretty new furniture yay! I think decorating for spring will bring my mood/spirits higher.

Get the Layered Look with Any Viewer

Hi Peeps!

Ok so we all love the layered look, or well a lot of us do lol Like a cute dress with a cardigan, or a sweater added to a top & jeans etc But not all of us like to use the viewer 2 series of SL, and many use third party viewers that don't include the add/multiple layers option.

So my brain being its usual over thinking self, saw that some of my jeans in my inventory come on the underpants layer and then I remembered that most shirts come on all layers. So I thought to myself, ok if I wear my jeans on the underpants layer & wear a tank top on the shirt and pants layers then I can add a hoodie on the jacket layer. It totally worked lol

I then tried with a dress. This time I used the shirt layer, underpants layer and the prim skirt. Then the cardigan was on the jacket layer with its prim parts.

So it might not always work with every item or outfit you have or want to wear, but for many outfits you can totally layer using the viewer of your choice! Thank goodness for designers that give us clothes on all layers!

Christmas with my SL Family!

After tons of issues getting dressed....

I teleported to my sister's house! There was my niece, and two sisters sitting and waiting for me. Even Santa showed up to leave us some coals with presents in them :O it was fun! In between SL crashing, not responding, not rezzing, glitching etc we opened presents and took pictures.

Everyone loved the cute little sweetly written notecards I wrote for them. Each one was personal to the person. Then my little niece opened her presents because kids come first! We all got to open our presents, and were so very thankful and excited! Lots of great goodies but most of all great memories made, laughs, fun and just an overall good time shared.

Next on the list besides shopping & inventory sorting, is to wrap/box the rest of the presents for some of my friends! Anyways hope your weekend went well! xoxox

Letter to SLanta!

Dear SLanta,

Hope you are having a great day! I'm sure you're making sure everything on your to do list is getting done, as well as doing the run through before the big day. I love this time of year and not because I get pressies if I'm good, but because I love decorating as well as seeing decorations everywhere. Festive movies and music everywhere you turn, it's wonderful!

Now every year I get asked the same question. What do you want for Christmas?
Well the truth is I want everyone to be happy and healthy. For everyone to be surrounded by joy, laughter and to be in a cozy home with delicious food. I also pray for those who don't get those luxuries and hope that communities will get together to help them. I want the holidays to be great for people in both the physical and virtual worlds.

Now for those of my silly loving friends and family that ask me every year in SL what I want for Christmas, here is a tiny paste list for you to choose from. I also love giftcards. This is my personal wishlist that I use to save up for the items. You don't have to get me anything as your friendship is more than enough but for those that like to give gifts, the list is a guide to what I like :)

Now its time for me to continue my sl Christmas shopping and wrap things up in cute boxes!!

Displaying of Names

You can now have display names in world.

Providing the viewer you use supports that feature lol It's a new feature in our lovely virtual community, which surely will be abused by many but at least it serves some good purpose to others. I can see it working especially for couples, or when a family adopts a child Av, or even if you want a shorter version of your name.

Then for new residents signing up, they now have taken out last names (although some were quite fun/funny) and have made it so that you can have whatever name you wish providing its not taken. This is great for most people unless you get pissed that the name you want has already been chosen and therefore you need to create a different version.

I personally just want to be able to edit my name. I'd love to remove the numbers from it, and then to have a different last name or like the new sign ups, have Resident as the last name which is hidden. I truly do wish that I had been smart enough to create a new account before purchasing a lot of stuff. I mean some things are transfer but most isn't.

Anyways that's just my little opinion. I gotta decide how much I hate the name, enough to start over or not that's the question isn't it....Anyways back in world I go lol I need to stop thinking so darn much. xoxoxo Renee <3

Winter has Arrived!

It's not my fave season!

So it's getting cooler, rainier and there has been a tiny bit of snow! The Christmas decor is all up on the porch and inside the house. It was so much fun, we decorated while listening to festive music yay! The other night in SL my friend and I did some snowboarding, exploring winter sims and went sledding around a sim. We are busy bees but have a ton of fun at least :p

Stores are prepping for the holidays & winter by releasing themed items, starting the advent gifts, a bunch of hunts including some with great stores participating, setting transferable options, and of course decorating for the season on the sims/parcels.

I love this time of year for its festivities and decorating as I love pretty things. I do not however like the cold, the rain or sometimes the snow (aside from a light sprinkle of it) because I tend to get aches and pains along with lung related stuff and it just sucks. However I do stay happy & positive as well as try to distract my self with SL or the Sims 3 or socializing.

Did I mention that SLanta should hire me as an elf ? I'd be so cute lol Anyways I'm off to distract myself and hope that the rain stops tonight at some point soon. Love ya lots xoxox

Fun Filled Night!

I was online during different parts of the day.

Then around 10:30pm my family & I decided to watch a movie in RL. Once it was done and I did my nightly routine, I came back to my computer to chat with my friend. She then says she wants us to go shopping so we can take some fun pictures! Sounded good to me :)

I never imagined it would get as silly and hilarious as it was! She was laughing soo much that I swear she sounded like she couldn't breathe lol We took like a million pictures! Ok maybe that's a slight exaggeration lol but hey we had fun taking them. Every time we did one, another one came to mind. My fave part was how we mix matched poses from different sets. Like merging a pose from a couples set, into a group set lol tooooo fun!

It totally kept me occupied and distracted. It was fun, like I haven't had that kinda fun in world in a little while. It was just soo funny. We even used those emoter huds to make silly faces and such! Then we had funny convos through the whole photo session. Oh and we even played with our shapes and like maxed sliders LOL...I'm also blaming Rylan on my Plurk timeline for me now wanting a baby lol and now I can't afford it yet. Where's an SL genie when ya need one ? lol

Happy Halloween!

Happy Trick or Treat Day!! lol

Saturday night I had a wonderful girls night at my place that lasted until like 3am. Then everyone went home & those who stayed, went to bed! I stayed up though because I was in pain. Overall though it was a phenomenal day!!

Now today was pretty lazy actually! I slept in a bit and then had girl talk with my mom & her bestie. Her friend is going through a rough time so we were letting her vent about it. Then she went home, we had dinner followed by delicious cake. The rest of the day was spent watching movies!

I then went to an event that had great prizes & I believe I won the grand prize but then there was a script error and SL ate the item! If I am so lucky again tonight then thats great but if not oh well. On another note, there have been new releases, blog posts etc on SL babies and it sometimes makes me want another one. Go figure!

Anyways don't eat too many sweets but if you do, then brush your teeth like a good boy or girl lol Happy Halloween again! <3
